Former SCORPIONS Drummer HERMAN RAREBELL TO Hit The Road With New Band

January 28, 2009

HERMAN ZE GERMAN AND FRIENDS, the band led by former SCORPIONS drummer Herman Rarebell, will embark on a tour of the U.S. and Europe this summer.

The group's current lineup is as follows:

Herman Rarebell (SCORPIONS) - Drums
Duke Jackson (STRIKEFORCE) - Guitar
Timexx Nasty (DRIVIN' RAIN, BEGGARS JURY) - Vocals
Joe Council (STRIKEFORCE, PUSH) – Bass

HERMAN ZE GERMAN AND FRIENDS' setlist will include the following SCORPIONS classics, among others:

* "Rock you like a Hurricane"
* "Blackout"
* "Another Piece of Meat"
* "He's a Woman, She's a Man"
* "Passion Rules The Game"
* "Make It Real"
* "Loving You Sunday Morning"

In an interview with Classic Rock Revisited, Rarebell stated about the huge commercial success of SCORPIONS' 1982 album "Blackout", "Mercury Records was totally behind us and they believed in us. They wanted us to keep making albums. They wanted us to grow and do better each time out. 'Lovedrive' went gold. 'Animal Magnetism' went gold and then 'Blackout' was the first one to go platinum. Schenker/ Meine/ Rarebell was a great songwriting team. You can see that from how many successful albums we had. After I left the band, they didn't have any more hits."
